Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize IT systems, including servers, networks, databases, and applications.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
- Leadership: Guide other IT staff, lead small-scale projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Process Improvement: Implement and recommend solutions that enhance system performance, improve security, and elevate user experience.
- Mentor and support less experienced IT team members.
- Oversee IT initiatives, such as system upgrades, rollouts, or migrations.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for advanced technical challenges.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and external service providers.
- Network IT Specialist: Manage and maintain network infrastructure; lead network-focused initiatives.
- Cybersecurity IT Specialist: Secure systems and data; lead security audits and incident response efforts.
- Cloud IT Specialist: Administer and optimize cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure); manage migrations and integrations.
- Systems IT Specialist: Oversee enterprise systems; support configuration, maintenance, and integrations.
Skills & Qualifications
- 8–10 years in IT roles with progressive responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications (preferred):
- CompTIA Network+, Security+
- Cisco CCNA
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
- CISSP or other relevant cybersecurity certifications
