Responsibilities

As a Clinical Orders Coordinator, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
  • Participates in tracking system of all physicians’ orders to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws/regulations and timely billing.
  • Provide back-up for the preparation of outgoing documents to include but not limited to: physicians’ orders utilizing point-of-care documentation system according to current policy.
  • Maintains accurate directory services as pertaining to physicians and/or physician representatives utilizing point-of-care documentation system.
  • Serves as a liaison to physicians/physician representatives/accounting via phone, fax, and or email for the purposes of attaining signed and completed physicians’ orders to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws/regulations and timely billing.
  • Organizes & educates on physician’s electronic order portal within point of care documentation system when available.

Skills & Qualifications

A few must-haves:
  • High School graduate or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
  • One-year health care/business experience in a fast-paced, customer service environment.
  • History of success as evidenced by increased responsibilities and/or promotions.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Planning and organizing skills to achieve personal and business unit goals.
