Responsibilities

As a Director of Healthcare Services, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
  • Oversee the delivery of clinical and caregiver services, ensuring the highest quality of patient/client care in accordance with home health laws, regulatory standards, and performance standards.
  • Coordinate and manage a team of nurses, therapists, CNAs, aides and social workers to ensure client and patient goals are met.
  • Provide regular reports on key performance indicators and regulatory compliance to Executive Leadership.
  • Ensure staff levels are sufficient to meet the needs of patients and families
  • Recruit, hire, orient, train, supervise and retain qualified clinicians and caregivers
  • Ensure medical supplies/equipment are delivered and staff are trained on care procedures
  • Assess patient/client needs, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of satisfaction
  • Effectively manage financial resources related to the delivery of quality patient/client care

Skills & Qualifications

A few must-haves for a Director of Healthcare Services:
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist (PT) program
  • Registered Nurse (RN): Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) preferred
  • Physical Therapist (PT): DPT Required
  • Active license to practice as an Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist (PT) in the state(s) in which patient care is provided.
  • Five (5) years of home care experience as an RN or PT in last seven (7) years
  • Three (3) years of of home care experience managing caregivers in last five (5) years
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing Home Healthcare services.
