Responsibilities
What you'll do as an Intake Coordinator:
- Coordinates the development of a consistent intake process with current process, policy, and procedure:
- Accepts and processes referrals via phone, by fax, or through electronic portal
- Completes the demographic, clinical, and financial information
- Directly responsible for the adherence to the referral process for all Medicare, Medicaid, Private insurance, and all other referrals.
- Completes private referrals and communicates all private referrals with the Managed Care Department.
- Coordinates the implementation of consistent customer service standards.
- Responds to patient/client care needs by providing complete and accurate information within scope of Admissions Coordinator or refers the caller to the Admissions Manager or other appropriate resource.
